This is a vertical bar graph comparing percentages by age groups of males and females aged 12 or older reporting a diagnosis of diabetes in 2008.

The Y axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of 2 from 0 to 20.

On the X axis from left to right are all ages, and the following age groups: 12 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, 55 to 64 and 65 or older.
The percentages of respondents reporting a diagnosis of diabetes are the following:

  • Total:  males 6.3%, females 5.4%,

  • Age group 12 to 24: males 0.4%, females 0.4%,

  • Age group 25 to 34: males 0.6%, females 1.4%,

  • Age group 35 to 44: males 2.9%, females 2.5%,

  • Age group 55 to 64: males 14.5%, females 10.7%,

  • Age group 65 or older: males 18.0%, females 14.4%.

The percentages of males and females reporting a diagnosis of diabetes in age groups 12 to 24 and 25 to 34 should be interpreted with caution as the coefficients of variation are between 16.6% and 33.3%.
